Our mission is to reach as many individuals as possible who are living with HIV, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, and other sexually transmitted infections and link them to medical care. This, we believe, is when the most effective reduction of spread is achieved.

Mercedes Cabaleiro

MD Medical Director

Dr. Mercedes Caballero is an experienced family medicine physician with a sub specialization in HIV/AIDS Medicine. She earned her medical degree from Universidad Central del Este in 2004 and has been actively practicing for over 20 years. Dr. Cabaleiro is fluent in both English and Spanish providing bilingual care to her patients.

Catalina Alaín

APRN

Catalina Alaín, APRN, is a retired U.S. Air Force veteran with over 20 years of clinical experience. She began her career as a registered nurse in 1998 and became a nurse practitioner in 2013, holding dual certifications as a Family Nurse Practitioner and HIV Specialist. She is expected to earn her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in Lifestyle Medicine from Florida State University in July 2026.
